(More) About the Website

You probably wouldn’t know by looking at it,

but there’s a lot of stuff going on behind the scenes at Emotiomental Graffiti.

Running off of the WordPress platform (version 2.8) and utilizing several WordPress-specific add-ons called plugins (not to mention being linked to the site’s bbPress forums and the blog), there’s a lot more stuff going on behind the hood than meets the (untrained) eye.

There’s more work involved and more fiddling involved and more poking through different files to get to the files I want to get to involved, but… it suits.

This website’s name is Emotiomental Graffiti and all this… ‘extra’ stuff… suits.

Consider this:

For a place that is my ship, plane, and submarine (and my home away from home, in a lot of ways), doesn’t it make sense that the site really does need to have a lot of things going on under the hood for it to be able to be all the things that it is?

To me, it makes all the sense in the world.

So.

Welcome, visitor, to Emotiomental Graffiti – the near-forgotten scrawlings on back alley walls lost within the folds of time, space, and place.

Please watch your step as construction on this site never seems to cease – the blog can only grow, after all! – and if you would like to leave, all you have to do is tap your heels together three times and say to yourself…

“There’s no place like 127.0.0.1!”

    • Green hosting with Dreamhost! There are a lot of webhosts out there and I've given a few of them a run for their services (while they've given me a run for my money) and after all this time... Dreamhost wins my vote. The price is right, the package has everything I need, the CPanel has everything right at my fingertips, there's Fantastico's One-Click Installs (you can still do everything manually if you want), but most importantly, their customer support for me has been nothing short of OUTSTANDING. Add to the fact that Dreamhost is also now green? That's pretty damned awesome. Go visit them yourself or read my full review for more information.
